Milan keeping tabs on Clement Lenglet

Serie A side Milan are probing the situation of Aston Villa loanee Clement Lenglet for a potential transfer.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Milan are aiming to add a defender temporarily to their pack during the January transfer window. The name of Clement Lenglet has come up a few times in the Rossoneri headquarters as sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada gathered information regarding the Frenchman recently.

The Diavolo have three key defensive players out for a long time with injuries and they must bring in a new face as soon as possible.

The 28-year-old is on loan at Aston Villa from Barcelona and his parent club would be happy to discuss a potential loan deal if Milan agree to cover a large part of the player’s wage. Lenglet has shown discontent at Birmingham this season due to the lack of chances and he is willing to move away for a new opportunity.

Stefano Pioli’s side are also interested in Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie but there hasn’t been any concrete contact between the two parties as of now.
