Milan reach agreement with Platense for Marco Pellegrino

Serie A giants Milan have come one step closer to sealing a move for Club Atletico Platense’s Marco Pellegrino and a fee has now been agreed between the two clubs.

MilanNews have reported that there is an agreement over the transfer fees for Pellegrino, who has an Italian passport. Milan’s negotiations made sure that they could lower Platense’s asking price and a fee of €3 million plus bonuses and a percentage of sell-on fee has been included in the deal.

Platense have accepted this offer and the parties are defining the last few details of the transfer, with Pellegrino now expected to become the ninth summer signing for Stefano Pioli’s side.

Once the move for the 21-year-old is announced, Milan will look to sign another striker as they want a regular option in that department, even though Noah Okafor has already joined and Olivier Giroud will stay at the side for at least another season.
