Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali will undergo his Newcastle United medical today and Italy Under-21s game against France Under-21s yesterday was his last game as a Rossoneri player.
Luca Bianchin today has reported that at Palazzo Parigi, a hotel famous for being the base of Fabio Paraticiโs Juventus, Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth and scout chief Steve Nickson were present and the Magpies tied the last few ends of their move for Tonali. Newcastle will pay a sum close to โฌ70 million plus bonuses and a percentage on the resale, which will take the sum to about โฌ80 million.
Tonali will sign a six-year deal worth โฌ8 million per season and bonuses of โฌ2 million per season. He will undergo his medical in Romania today, as Nickson and the midfielderโs agent flew from Milan yesterday. The Rossoneri will have a significant amount to reinvest in the side and Davide Frattesi is seen as the replacement for Tonali. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also of interest, with a deal for Daichi Kamada already having been agreed and it is expected to be completed next week.
