Napoli are now said to be concentrating on a potential move for Porto boss Sérgio Conceição, who interests them as a potential replacement for Luciano Spalletti.
With Spalletti leaving Napoli and Aurelio de Laurentiis having confirmed that Luis Enrique has his eyes on a Premier League move, the Partenopei are assessing other options.
Il Mattino state that Conceição is a ‘serious’ target for Napoli and they state something similar to what Sky Italia have reported around the Porto boss. But they go on to state that Napoli have found an opening for Conceição. They have put forward an offer of €6 million for the ex-Serie A player but that amount will reduce to €4 million after Growth Decree regulations.
Other names on Aurelio de Laurentiis’ list, they state, are Vincenzo Italiano and Thiago Motta. It has been previously reported that De Laurentiis has excellent relations with Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso and that could prove important in the saga.
