Napoli could let Cristiano Guintoli leave amidst Juventus interest

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli could yet end up leaving the Partenopei this summer amidst interest from Juventus.

La Repubblica have reported that Juventus are aiming to change a lot of things at the club across the next two summers and while Max Allegri will stay at the club, new faces could be seen at the Bianconeri. A concerning financial situation means that a new sporting director will be needed and the right candidate must know how to operate with tight finances.

Guintoli’s profile has been quite popular at the Old Lady for a while now and he is a top candidate to become the next sporting director at Juve. While his contract at Napoli runs out in the summer of 2024, Aurelio de Laurentiis is willing to let him leave the club this summer especially if Guintoli is willing to waive his severance.

Napoli have already identified a potential replacement in Pietro Accardi, who is currently at Empoli – a club that has made a name for itself for scouting younger talents and selling them on for a higher value.
