Napoli fans racially abuse Rafael Leão ahead of Milan clash

A host of Napoli fans racially abused Milan’s Rafael Leão minutes before kick-off involving the two sides in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Milan are 1-0 up from the first leg and Ismael Bennacer scored a first half goal, with Napoli being without Victor Osimhen in the first leg. But the Nigerian is back for the second leg at the Maradona.

When the Milan players were leaving for the stadium and boarding the team bus ahead of the clash involving the two sides, a video that emerged on Twitter had the Partenopei fans racially abused the Leão. Monkey chants can clearly be heard in the video.

In the early hours of today, Napoli fans had been outside the Milan team hotel and had used fireworks, chants and horns to make sure that the Rossoneri players couldn’t sleep ahead of the tie. While the Partenopei fans tried their best, it has been reported that the players weren’t disturbed too much.
