Napoli interested in Reims’ Jens Cajuste

Napoli have shown a definite interest in signing Ligue 1 side Reims’ Jens Cajuste in recent days.

According to a tweet by Marco Conterio, Napoli are exploring the option to land Jens Cajuste from Reims this summer. The management likes the player as he is available at an affordable price and possesses good potential.

Manager Rudi Garcia hopes to make an immediate impact at Napoli as he will be the man to lead the Scudetto defence charge this coming season. The new manager believes that the midfielder can play an influential role in his team and can pay attractive dividends in the long run.

The 23-year-old is seen as a replacement for German midfielder Diego Demme who is expected to leave the Partenopei club soon or Cajuste could operate as a back up for Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Predominantly a central midfielder, Cajuste can be deployed as a defensive midfielder and he played the role eloquently last season for Reims. A regular in William Still’s team, the Swedish man racked up 33 appearances, scoring four goals and registering one assist across all competitions during the 2022-23 season.
