Juventus could attempt initial loan move for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku

The latest development in the long running saga of Romelu Lukaku’s future is here as it appears Juventus are looking into the possibility making a loan offer for the player to his parent club Chelsea.

Corriere Della Sera has reported this morning that newly appointed Sporting Director Cristiano Guintoli has asked Chelsea about the idea of signing Lukaku on a similar deal to the one that Inter managed to get him on last season as it is thought that Juve cannot afford to pay a substantial fee for the player.

However, it is expected such an offer would be rejected as Chelsea are only interested in letting the Belgian striker leave on a permanent basis that allows them to recuperate some of the astronomical fee that they paid Inter for his services in 2021.

The player himself was captured over the weekend in discussions with a couple of Inter fans in public, stating that he feels a deal to sign for the Bianconeri is very unlikely.

This could well be another blow to a club that is currently feeling the effects of being expelled from European football this term and slapped with a €20million fine for financial irregularities.
