Napoli, Lazio and Monza acquitted in false invoicing case

Serie A sides Napoli, Lazio and Monza have all been acquitted in the false invoicing case which has rocked Italian football and Serie A.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Aurelio de Laurentiis, Adriano Galliani and Claudio Lotito have all been acquitted in the chase and the same is the case for former Fiorentina president Andrea della Valle. Former Chievo owner Luca Campedelli has also been acquitted from involvement in the case.

Luciano Moggi’s son – Alessandro, is the only one who has been sentences in the case. That is because of his illegal involvement in the transfer of Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain. He had provided illegal consultancy in the move and that is the reason for his sentencing.

Napoli have already been acquitted in the capital gains case as Juventus were the only one who have been handed a points deduction. Napoli remain under investigation for the transfer which involved Victor Osimhen.
