Napoli are now set to seal the signing of striker Giovanni Simeone on a permanent basis this summer.
Simeone had spent the previous season on loan at Napoli, having joined from Verona after an impressive spell at the Gialloblu.
Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Napoli have now exercised their option to buy the Argentine permanently, with Simeone now officially a Partenopei player. CalcioNapoli24 have provided further details about the situation, stating that the striker will sign a deal at Napoli till the summer of 2027.
Napoli will pay an amount of €13 million to €14 million, with Cristiano Guintoli and Aurelio de Laurentiis having made the decision to go ahead with the move.
Simeone wasn’t a regular upfront for Napoli but he did manage to score four Serie A goals and also found the back of the net four times in the UEFA Champions League and that included a brace against Rangers.
