Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli has revealed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is currently not on the market, amidst his sublime performances for the club.
The Georgian did miss a penalty yesterday but he managed to come up with a delightful assist for Giovanni di Lorenzo in the second goal of the game against Eintracht Frankfurt. He has now contributed to six goals in the Champions League and is the youngest player to have contributed to atleast five goals in the competition so far.
There has been talk about the player’s potential new contract at the club, who are about to hold talks with his agent regarding an extension. But other clubs have been linked with him in recent months, especially in the light of his performances.
Guintoli spoke to Sky Italia recently and he revealed that the club’s prized asset is not for sale and there’s no value attached to his sale so far.
“I don’t like to give numbers, I like to talk about concrete things. Kvara is not on the market at the moment , then I don’t know how much he will be worth, time will tell and what he will do in the future. At the moment we are very happy, he is a great footballer. We hold on to him, then we will see what the future holds.”
