Napoli struggling for Piotr Zieliński contract renewal

Napoli find themselves in a predicament with the contract of Piotr Zieliński. The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and Napoli are having a tough time coming to an agreement with him, as reported by Gazzetta.

Zieliński has been on the verge of leaving for the past two summers but it has never materialised. During that time he has been putting in good performances and now the fans do not want to lose him.

A sticking point in negotiations is the Pole’s wages. Napoli would insist on a wage reduction, which the midfielder would not agree to. He is not thought to be very tempted by a potential move to Saudi Arabia, although a plan will have to be constructed very soon for his future.

He has entered the new season starting all seven league games, returning two goals and two assists and proving an important player for Napoli.
