Napoli are going to make contact for former manager Walter Mazzarri today, after having met Igor Tudor already.
Mazzarri has always been linked up with a return to the Partenopei, even though it does seem as if Tudor seems destined for the role at the Maradona.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Aurelio de Laurentiis hasnโt made his definitive choice yet. Tudor has given his availability to sign a one-year deal with Napoli yesterday, but a decision will be made once a meeting with Mazzarri takes place.
That meeting will take place today and it will involve De Laurentiis, other top brass at Napoli and Mazzarri himself. The former Watford boss is still said to be in the running for the role, but a choice will only be made after the meeting today.
It was reported yesterday that Antonio Conte has already rejected an approach from Napoli once again and this happened right after the loss to Empoli.ย
