Napoli to soon hold contract talks with Victor Osimhen’s agent

Serie A giants Napoil will soon hold contract talks with Victor Osimhen’s agent and will try to sort out the Nigerian’s future at the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the striker’s situation today, stating that the meeting involving Napoli’s Aurelio de Laurentiis and Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda will soon take place. While De Laurentiis did state on Monday that the striker will sign a two-year deal, the finer details have not been sorted out.

The meeting to iron out the details and the possibility of a new deal will take place in the next few days. The club president will have to propose his a new wage to extend the contract and the player’s agent will take time to give answers. At the same time, Napoli’s potential asking price will also be learned.

It is not known as to how much Napoli will offer in the new deal but the expectation is that an upgrade on wages will bring the parties closer to an agreement and Napoli will be helped by the Growth Decree regulations. But if a club offered in excess of €100 million, Napoli will have to consider it because of their financial realities and Napoli know that if no progress is made over a new deal, he would be sold for a reduced next summer and they won’t want that.
