Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia rejected a move to Newcastle United in the last few days.
According to a report by Il Mattino, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was approached by several European clubs for a potential transfer this summer and among them, he rejected a big deal from Newcastle United to continue his stay at Napoli.
The Georgian broke out in his debut season for The Partenopei as he netted twelve times and registered ten assists to help the club win their first Scudetto in 33 years.
The 22-year-old is in his initial contract with Napoli and is currently earning €1.2 million net. He now wants a renewal with the club which would take that amount to at least €6 million net per season. While Newcastle United are expected to have come up with a much brighter offer, emissaries close to the player suggested that if he should leave in the future, it would be only for his dream club, Real Madrid.
