Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae to undergo military training in the summer

Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae is set to undergo military training in the summer back home in South Korea.

CalcioNapoli24 state that Kim will begin his mandatory military service in South Korea from June to July. The service will last three weeks despite the fact that he received a military exemption because he won the gold medal won at the Asian Games not long ago.

This is an alternative service, which will focus on imparting basic and reserve military training, completed by Korean Army trainees. Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min has already undergone that military training back in 2020, despite the fact that he too won the gold medal at the Asian games in 2020.

The reason why this is relevant is because Kim has a release clause in his current deal and it will be relevant for 15 days, in the start of July. That is the period when the defender will be in South Korea for the military training.
