Fading hope about Zlatan Ibrahimović’s return for Milan this season

Hope about Zlatan Ibrahimović’s return to action for Milan this season is fading, as he is confirmed to have picked up an injury.

Sky Italia state that fitness exams have now revealed that Zlatan has picked up tear in the medial twin of the right calf. He was on the bench for the recent game against Lecce and during warm-up, the Swede had picked up an injury and then left the sidelines.

There is hope at Milan that he could return to action this season, but the hope is fading because of the injury that he has picked up now. It is not Zlatan’s first injury of the season and while he has one goal to his name this season, he had recovered from a knee injury earlier in the season.

The 41-year-old has made four appearances this season and he had made an appearance against Sassuolo at the end of last season in the game that led to Milan winning the Scudetto.
