Napoli’s Victor Osimhen: “I feel very comfortable in Naples”

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he feels very comfortable in the city of Naples and he values the MLS more than the Saudi Pro League.

Recent weeks have fuelled speculation about the Nigerian’s future at the club, after he managed to stay at the Partenopei in the summer. He was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia but it didn’t materialise, as contract talks took place but they never turned into him signing a new deal at the club.

He has also been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the past, but his future remains uncertain. Osimhen spoke to TV Play (via TMW) in an interview recently and he revealed that he feels comfortable in Naples.

“For me already being a player at this level is a dream. If it [Ballon D’or] were to arrive it would be fantastic, but it’s not an obsession. I feel very comfortable in Naples. Scoring is always a thrill, more so doing it at the Maradona.”

The Nigerian was asked about the Saudi Pro League and he said: “It’s on the rise, it attracted a lot of talent last summer and a lot of players went there.”

When asked about whether he would prefer the MLS or the Saudi Pro League, Osimhen said: “Under the same conditions, the United States.”

The 24-year-old is currently injured and is likely to be out for about four more weeks, but he has scored six times already in the Serie A.
