Napoli’s Victor Osimhen transfer to be investigated in six months

Napoli’s move for Victor Osimhen will be under investigation but the process will take about six months to complete.

With Juventus now having been sentenced to a 15-point deduction in Serie A, the Bianconeri have been critical of the fact that the other clubs involved in the capital gains saga have been acquitted. One of those clubs were Napoli.

Il Mattino‘s print edition (via TMW) has stated that investigations are set to begin over the Partenopei’s move for Victor Osimhen but the Naples prosecutor has asked for six months for the total investigation to be completed. The case would revolve around falsification of financial statements and one of the key pointers will be the Osimhen move from Lille.

There is a key difference between this case and the one involving Juve because the Bianconeri case involved phone conversation recordings and intercepted emails and those served as evidence to prove Juve’s illegal financial functioning. The same won’t be available in Napoli’s case.
