Nicolo Zaniolo ready to sue Roma for psychological pressure and mobbing

With the player now staying at Roma, Nicolo Zaniolo looks set to sue the Giallorossi.

After he had rejected a move to Bournemouth, Roma had decided that they would take disciplinary action against Zaniolo and it has been suggested that they have excluded him from their technical project already. Zaniolo has been given death threats by Roma fans already and has left Rome, having come back to his home in La Spezia.

Il Messaggero claim that after his initial refusal to go to Bournemouth, Zaniolo had opened up for the move and talks were held again between the two parties. But the Cherries backed away as they had changed their plans. But Zaniolo’s relationship with the club and the fans has completely ruptured and the situation can’t be reversed.

There is now a legal dispute on the horizon. The player’s family could well launch a battle against Roma for unleashing a media massacre and lawyers have already been contacted that will protect the Italian. Zaniolo’s family is about to accuse the Giallorossi of mobbing and psychological pressure. The Assocalciatori, which is tasked with providing support for clubs, has been informed already.

Assocalciatori’s president Umberto Calcagno has kept tabs on the situation and an entourage will provide a file with details of the happenings over the last few months. Zaniolo himself will tell his version of events soon and he could stay in La Spezia for a few more days and maybe even some weeks.
