OFFICIAL | Alexis Sanchez returns to Inter

Chilean star Alexis Sanchez has now joined Inter on a free transfer, about one year after his initial exit from the club.

Sanchez had initially joined Inter on a loan deal from Manchester United and had later joined the Nerazzurri permanently. But he left the club in 2022 and joined Marseille, where he spent one season.

But Inter have now confirmed that Sanchez has returned to the club, joining on a free transfer. Joaquin Correa’s move to Marseille freed up the finances and space in the Inter side for the move, with the Chilean signing a one-year deal at the Nerazzurri.

In his initial stint at Inter, he had scored 20 goals in 109 appearances in all competitions for the club. In Inter’s Scudetto winning season, he scored seven times and later scored in extra-time to help the side clinch the Supercoppa Italiana by beating Juventus. For Marseille, he scored 18 times in 44 games and impressed.
