OFFICIAL | Ismael Bennacer signs new Milan contract

Milan’s in-demand midfielder Ismael Bennacer has now put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Rossoneri.

Chelsea and Manchester United were linked with the midfielder over the last few weeks and at one point, a renewal seemed like a complex task for the Rossoneri, who have already lost Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma on free transfers.

Milan have now confirmed that Bennacer has now signed a new deal till the summer of 2027 and it has been reported that the Algerian will earn in the region of €4 million per season, which is a significant upgrade on what he was earning in his previous deal at the club.

While there is a release clause in his contract which is valued at €50 million, it will only be active from 2024, as per Sky Italia. There has previously been talk of the fact that it will apply only to foreign clubs only for the first 15 days of the summer transfer window.
