Release clause of Milan’s Ismael Bennacer will be active for a limited period

The release clause in the contract of Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer will be active only for a limited period.

Bennacer, it has been reported, is set to sign a new deal with Milan and while he is earning a wage upgrade, the Algerian’s deal will have the same €50 million release clause that his previous contract had. It might be something that attracts other clubs.

La Repubblica have now reported that the midfielder’s release clause is a key part of the contract, with his wages expected to be doubled – even though the exact amount has not been revealed so far. The clause though, will be active only for the first 15 days of the summer transfer window and will be eliminated after that.

Essentially, clubs will be able to sign Bennacer for €50 million in the first 15 days of July only. The Rossoneri will be able to use their own price tag after that.
