OFFICIAL | Juventus excluded from next season’s Conference League and handed fine

It has now been confirmed that Serie A giants Juventus will not be playing in the UEFA Conference League next season.

The Bianconeri had finished seventh in the Serie A last season and that had happened as a result of two points deductions in the campaign, with the club found guilty in the Prisma and Plusvalenza cases. But UEFA was yet to make a decision about the Bianconeri playing in European football next season.

It has now been confirmed that the Old Lady will not be playing in the Conference League next season, rendering them without any European football. They will be replaced by Fiorentina in the competition. The Turin giants have also been handed a hefty fine of €20 million, out of which €10 million is conditional and it will only be charged if they fail to comply with the financial rules in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

It was previously reported that due to the financial irregularities case, Juve had reached an agreement with UEFA to be excluded from the competition while offering the promise that they will not appeal to the CAS and will focus on qualifying for the Champions League for the 2024/25 campaign.
