After quite an impressive individual performance throughout the entirety of this year’s campaign, Roma defender Roger Ibanez has attracted several potential suitors ahead of next season as a pair of European giants are keen on signing the Brazilian international.
Il Messagero, via TMW, reports that both Tottenham and Atletico Madrid are eyeing the defender as they eager to acquire the 24 year-old for a fee around the region of €30m.
Within this year’s season, Ibanez played a vital role for the capital club under Mourihno, featuring in a grand total of 48 appearances across all competitions for the Giallorossi, contributing heavily within Roma’s incredible Europa League run where they recently lost 4-1 on penalties against Spanish outfits Sevilla in Budapest.
With both European clubs scarce in central defenders, the two sides are determined to acquire Ibanez as they feel he fits quite well into their respective squads with the use of his pace and technical ability to play out of the back.
