PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Roma v Bayer Leverkusen

After suffering a defeat in their last match, Roma will aim to return back to winning ways when they face Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League semi-finals tonight at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma’s top-four hopes have significantly faded following a winless of four consecutive games and the latest of which ended in a 2-0 defeat to rivals Inter. Currently sitting in 7th place in the Serie A standings, the Giallorossi will have to siege through their last 4 fixtures in order to potentially secure a Champions League berth for next season. They have fared well in Europe as in the quarter-finals first leg, it ended in a 1-0 defeat for Jose Mourinho’s men but they recuperated and soared through in the second leg to eventually win 4-2 on aggregate. After winning the Conference League last season, the Italian capital side will to secure yet another European accolade under manager Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen were barely surviving relegation threats during the first part of the season but under the managerial guidance of Xabi Alonso, they are now in sixth place in the Bundesliga and are on course to qualify for Europe next season. Their last match ended in a defeat to 11th-placed Koln where the home side lacked the determination to consolidate momentum and score a goal. Davie Selke’s brace put the Cologne-based side through while Amine Adli was the only scorer for Leverkusen.

Here are the predicted line-ups according to Sky Italia:

Roma (3-5-2): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Cristante, Ibanez; Celik, Bove, Matic, Pellegrini, Spinazzola; Belotti, Abraham

Bayer Leverkusen (3-4-3): Hradecky; Tapsoba, Tah, Hincapié; Frimpong, Palacios, Andrich, Bakker; Diaby, Adli, Wirtz
