PSG make approach for ex-Milan sporting director Paolo Maldini

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain approach Paolo Maldini for a sporting director role at their club.

According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Italy legend Paolo Maldini has received two offers of a sporting director role till now and he is yet to make a final decision on his future. One proposal is from the Italy National Team and another is from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ligue 1 side looks to firm favourites in landing the former defender in their club’s sporting hierarchy and official details of his role are yet to revealed. The 55-year-old is currently on vacation and will evaluate the offers once he comes back before accepting the role.

At the end of last season, Milan announced the conclusion of Maldini’s role in the club. He was relieved from his technical director duties along with Ricky Massara. 

In 2018, Maldini joined the Rossoneri management as a director of strategic development and soon became a technical director. Under his tenure, his former club won one Scudetto and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
