Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim interested in Inter

Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani is interested in the possibility of taking over Serie A side Inter, who have been linked with a sale in recent months.

Sheikh Jassim has been interested in the possibility of buying Manchester United, but that hasn’t gone through yet. Marco Conterio has reported that Raine Group is negotiating the acquisition of United from the Glazer family for Sheikh Jassim, who is yet to reach the required amount to take over at the Old Trafford-based side.

As a result of the disappointments being faced in England, Sheikh Jassim is casting his eyes on Inter. Contacts between the two parties are currently on, but they concern a potential sponsorship involving the Nerazzurri and Qatar Airways and through that, Inter could earn €1 million for the rest of the season. Next year, Qatar Airways could potentially become Inter’s primary sponsor and there is a possibility that these relations could escalate into something greater, especially if Sheikh Jassim doesn’t succeed in the United takeover.
