Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti ahead of Napoli clash: “I feel something special for Milan”

Carlo Ancelotti expressed his feelings for his former side Milan in the Champions League ahead of the Champions League Matchday 5.

Speaking to the press (via TMW) alongside Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal in the pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s game with Napoli, Carlo Ancelotti preferred not to rank the teams he has managed during his career. The Italian manager expressed his thoughts about Milan this season and termed their attitude as something ‘special’. Here is what he said: “I don’t know, I feel great affection towards all my former teams and I don’t want to disrespect anyone by making a ranking. However, I feel something special for Milan, where I was a player and coach, and Real Madrid, because it is the biggest club in the world.”

Ancelotti talked about Napoli as he expects a very even match between Los Blancos and the Partenopei coming up tomorrow. He said: “Napoli are a very dangerous team, I expect a very balanced match. However, there will be no revenge on my part.”

The previous game involving the two sides had seen Real Madrid grab a narrow win and while both the sides are all but in the next round, it represents Ancelotti’s return to his former club. A win for Napoli will ensure progression and Real Madrid are already at 12 points, which has almost guaranteed their progession into the knockout stages.
