Rino Gattuso compares Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Manchester United legend George Best

Rino Gattuso has compared Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the late great George Best, saying that watching the Georgian reminds him of the ex-Manchester United man.

Kvaratskhelia was on the scoresheet for Napoli yesterday, as he buried a penalty after winning it and then got one assist to help the Partenopei pick up a 4-0 win and go 21 points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Kvaratskhelia’s assists and goals are already in double figures and he has now contributed to 30 goals in all competitions across the league and the Champions League. With praise for the player not ending anytime soon, Rino Gattuso recently spoke to RadioRai1 (via TMW) and he gave his views about the Napoli star, comparing him to Best.

He stated: “It’s like seeing Best again. He does incredible things, with incredible nimbleness. It’s a team that excites me a lot, that plays dream football.”

Gattuso also gave his views about the upcoming Champions League clash involving Milan and Napoli, stating that it will be an open game of football between the two Italian sides.

“Napoli have been playing incredible football for two years but in Europe the matches are different. It will be an open game. It is normal for Napoli to have a winning mentality now, they play calmly and express ‘European football’. But both teams will play the game.”

Gattuso also had things to say about Victor Osimhen and his performances so far in the campaign, saying: “He did well at Lille and I have to say Giuntoli was very good at getting him to Naples and it wasn’t easy. I lost him for several months due to off-field situations and we suffered in his absence. He is very fast and very technical, an incredible player. This Napoli is not just about Osimhen. There is Lobotka who was unable to express himself at his best with me.”
