Roma make contact with Atalanta for Duvan Zapata

Serie A side Roma have now made contact with Atalanta for the potential signature of Colombian striker Duvan Zapata.

Roma have agreed to sell Roger Ibañez to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli and this will hand some crucial finances to make further signings this summer.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that contacts with Atalanta for Zapata are now on, with Jose Mourinho said to be looking at Tiago Pinto for the potential signature of a physical and experienced striker in the absence of Tammy Abraham, who remains out due to injury.

Contacts between Roma and Atalanta took place today and the Giallorossi have decided to shift attention from Luis Muriel to Zapata, with reports previously stating that they were offered the chance to sign Muriel quite recently.

Atalanta have already signed El-Bilal Toure and Gianluca Scamacca, with Teun Koopmeiners linked with an exit to Napoli but La Dea currently not said to be considering a sale.
