Roma prepare to close in on Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka

With the Serie A season reaching its final stages, Roma are eager to improve their squad ahead of next year’s campaign as they prepare to close in on Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka.

According to reports from Corrierre dello Sport, via Tuttomercatoweb, the Giallorossi have set their full attention on the Frenchman within the transfer market as Ndicka has announced that he will part ways with Frankfurt at the end of the season when his contract expires after a lengthy of five-year stay with the German outfits. 

With Roma Sporting Director  Tiago Pinto having already attempted to lure the 23 year-old central defender over the course of the summer transfer window prior to the start of this year’s current campaign, the capital club are now eager to enter a new assault to acquire the the star stopper, with numerous European giants trailing behind them for the promising defender’s signature.

Since joining Frankfurt on a €5.5m deal from French outfits Auxerre in 2018, Ndicka has quickly established himself as a significant player within the starting eleven, making a total of 130 appearances across all competitions for Frankfurt, as well having won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season Award in 2019 as a result for his brilliant displays.
