Roma set to appeal Jose Mourinho’s two-match ban

Roma are set to appeal Jose Mourinho’s two-match ban after his sending off against Cremonese.

Il Messaggero claim that while a legal proceeding has been opened to look into the Portuguese’s sending off on Tuesday, the Giallorossi are also ready to appeal the manager’s ban. The Roman club have already decided their stance.

The club have contacted their lawyer and Mourinho will be provided with the necessary support that he needs from all points of view – legal and human. It is stated that the ex-Tottenham manager has been left shaken by the fact that he was sent off and his words after the game clearly suggest that.

In the interview, Mourinho had stated that he wants the authorities to look into the audio of the conversation between him and the fourth official but sources close to Il Messaggero state that the audio recordings are not present. It is stated that recordings are only recorded if the fourth official pushes a button which he has access to, but that didn’t happen in this case.
