Rudi Garcia to Napoli players after Empoli loss: “It isn’t your fault, it is only my fault”

Rudi Garcia’s last words to his players as Napoli manager have been leaked, as the Frenchman took responsibility of the situation at the club.

The Partenopei seem set to sack Garcia soon, with Igor Tudor already lined up as a replacement. The Croatian is likely to take over the club’s training session tomorrow, with a meeting with club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis having taken place yesterday.

Il Mattino (via CN24) today have provided some details about Garcia’s last words as the Partenopei boss. After the loss, Garcia’s last words as the manager were directed to the team’s players. He said:

“It isn’t your fault, it is only my fault – this defeat and this situation.”

This comes after a reconstruction of the conversation had also emerged yesterday, with club captain Giovanni di Lorenzo having told the manager that the players also had to shoulder some blame about the current situation at the Partenopei.

Garcia has already travelled France yesterday, as he awaits for his fate as the Napoli manager to be sealed.
