Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi to miss Juventus fixture due to injury

Sassuolo skipper Domenico Berardi could miss Juventus’ fixture scheduled on Sunday due injury, Sky Sport reports.

Berardi felt some discomfort in his adductor during the last league game against Verona. He was subbed off with 20 minutes left to play but the club has never given updates about his conditions since then.

He was subbed off in the game prior to the one against Torino too but in that case, coach Alessio Dionisi told it was just a cramp.

Berardi has already missed eight Serie A games this season through injury. Nevertheless, he’s the club’s joint top scorer across all competitions alongside Armand Laurienté with seven goals.

He has also provided six assists and as reported by Opta, since his debut in Serie A in 2013, only Lionel Messi (10), Neymar (9), Roberto Firmino (8) and Thomas MĂĽller (8) have scored 6 or more goals and provided 6 or more assists for more different seasons than Berardi (7) in the top five European Leagues.
