Serie A side Beto have now rejected Everton’s offer for Portuguese striker Beto.
It was previously reported that the Toffees had offered €25 million plus bonuses for Beto’s signature on deadline day, but Marco Conterio has provided an update in the short-lived saga. The player is set to stay at Udinese this January after the offer was rejected by the Friulani today.
He will stay at the club till atleast the summer, when Napoli are expected to come in andd try signing him – especially amidst talk of Victor Osimhen’s potential exit.
Beto has impressed since he joined Udinese initially on a loan deal. The 25-year-old has scored seven times and has one assist in 20 appearances in the Serie A and last season, the striker scored 11 times in the league and his partnership with Gerard Deulofeu helped the Friuli thrive this season.Â
A host of big Serie A sides have also been linked with him in the past because of his impressive showings upfront but it remains to be seen what Udinese do.
