Everton make late attempt for Udinese’s Beto

Everton have made a late attempt to sign Udinese striker Beto on deadline day.

Marco Conterio has reported that Udinese have received a concrete offer from Everton today and the Toffees have put forward €25 million plus bonuses for the striker.

Napoli are interested in signing the player and are expected to come for him in the summer, but Udinese are considering whether to sell the Portuguese on deadline day or not.

Beto has impressed since he joined Udinese initially on a loan deal. The 25-year-old has scored seven times and has one assist in 20 appearances in the Serie A and last season, the striker scored 11 times in the league and his partnership with Gerard Deulofeu helped the Friuli thrive this season.

A host of big Serie A sides have also been linked with him in the past because of his impressive showings upfront but it remains to be seen what Udinese do.
