The agent of Udinese star Gerard Deulofeu has confirmed that Premier League side Aston Villa are interested in the possibility of signing the Spaniard.
Deulofeu has had a couple of stints in the English top flight, as he plied his trade his Everton during his younger days and then had a brief spell with Watford. At Udinese, he has starred for the Friulani, with the 28-year-old having two goals and six assists to his name so far.
Deulofeu’s agent Alberto Botines recently spoke to Messaggero Veneto and he gave insight about interest from Aston Villa, who have been linked with the ex-Barcelona player.
Botines stated: “There was interest from Aston Villa, but nothing concrete.”
The report further goes onto state that Udinese had asked for €25 million from Napoli, who had tried to sign the Spaniard last summer. It is also stated that Villa’s interest is amongst the strongest that the player has attracted and Unai Emery is keen on taking him to Villa Park this month.
