Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez has now agreed personal terms with Leicester City, as La Viola’s negotiations are ongoing with the Foxes.
It was previously reported that Leicester have made an offer to sign the Argentine and Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that contacts are well underway. An agreement in principle over personal terms has already been found with the entourage of the player, who had arrived at the Franchi from Stuttgart in 2021.
Having said that, there is no agreement between Fiorentina and Leicester yet. There is a gap between what Fiorentina want and what Leicester are offering, despite the previous bid from the Premier League side.
As of now, La Viola have identified Wolfsburg’s Josip Brekalo as a replacement for the Argentine. The Croatian did spent a loan stint at Torino but returned to Wolfsburg and has now been linked heavily with a Serie A return at newboys Monza, who are yet to close the deal.
