West Ham in talks to sign Denis Zakaria permanently

UEFA Conference League winners West Ham are currently trying to sign Denis Zakaria permanently from Juventus and talks are now on.

Zakaria had a frustrating loan stint at Chelsea last season and he has already returned to his parent club, but is expected to be moved on. Juve have already sold Dejan Kulusevski permanently, as he returned to the Bianconeri after his loan spell at Tottenham.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that West Ham have already spoken to Juve about Zakaria and two calls have taken place between the two clubs for the Swiss midfielder. There is a likelihood of the player returning to England on a permanent basis, as Chelsea didn’t exercise their option to buy him this summer.

For Chelsea, Zakaria made only 11 appearances and played only 722 minutes of first-team football. He had joined Juventus in the January of 2022 from Borussia Monchengladbach but was quickly loaned out to Chelsea on deadline day of the summer of 2022.
