Serie A side Fiorentina are set to sign former Everton and Barcelona defender Yerry Mina and he will undergo a medical soon.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Fiorentina were very keen on signing another defender this summer and they are now doing just that, with Mina set to arrive. He will arrive as a free agent after his release from Everton and he will undergo his medical tomorrow and he will arrive in Florence later today.
Fiorentina managed to overcome competition from Cagliari, who were keen on the Colombia international and had made attempts to land him. La Viola’s offer was more financially viable and Mina was appealed by the idea of playing in the Conference League.
The 28-year-old made only seven Premier League appearances for Everton last season, but he did score two goals. Over time, his involvement in the first team at Goodison Park has reduced and he has not been helped by constant injuries.
