Zlatan Ibrahimović considering Milan return

Former striker Zlatan Ibrahimović is weighing up an approach to return to Milan in some capacity.

The Swede had retired from playing the game at the end of last season but he has been seen at the club’s training ground and talking to Stefano Pioli. He has also held a meeting with Gerry Cardinale, as the club look to bring him back in some capacity soon.

Corriere della Sera report that Ibra is considering the move, with the determination of the exact role not expected to be a difficult thing. The feeling at the club is that a management figure who has a playing background is strongly needed, or the current situation could become chaotic as there has been some internal strife.

Ibra is seen as that figure, with Pioli also having a great relationship with the Swede. The proposal to take over in this role intrigues Zlatan, who is yet to make a decision. The lifestyle choice of taking over the role is weighing over the ex-striker’s mind and it isn’t even about the money on offer.

A lot of personal branding contracts will have to be negotiated and potentially terminated, if he takes over the role. As of now, he is considering rejoining Milan in some capacity.
