Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel reveals he isn’t worried about his future after Lazio loss

German giants Bayern Munich lost 1-0 to Serie A giants Lazio in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 and they have some work to do for the second leg.

A Ciro Immobile penalty helped the Roman side grab one of their most memorable wins under the Maurizio Sarri era. On the other hand, things seem to be going quite wrong for Tuchel, whose side couldn’t register a single shot on target in the game. The loss comes after their hammering at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.

Tuchel, whose future has come under scrutiny in recent days, spoke to Prime Video (via TMW) after the loss. He was asked about whether he is worried about the future and stated: “No”

The German further stated: “We did everything to lose this match. We stopped believing in it, there were so many individual mistakes.”

He also spoke about the first half and how Bayern did things wrong, saying: “In the first half we played well and had chances, in the second we lost brilliance and concentration and I don’t understand why.”

While Bayern have work to do in the second leg, they are currently five points behind Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table as well and the pressure on Tuchel is definitely on.
