Roma boss Daniele de Rossi has spoken about his future at the club after their 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Europa League.
Roma essentially have one foot in the quarter-finals of the Europa League and they impressed thoroughly against the Seagulls. Paulo Dybala, Romelu Lukaku, Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante all got a goal each in a brilliant showing against Roberto de Zerbiโs side.
The tie was billed was De Zerbiโs homecoming but it proved to be a harrowing result, as the injury prone Seagulls were hammered.
De Rossi spoke about his future at the club and he said (via TMW): โI know that now youโre starting, I know this city. Itโs the last thing on my mind, Iโm doing a job that I like, in a place that I like, with satisfactions that I didnโt know Iโd get out of it in such a short time. In a few days weโre against another special coach (Italian from Fiorentina), if we go there in a week thinking weโve already passed theyโll beat us.โ
While De Rossi is chosing to be diplomatic, rumours have suggested that Roma want to keep him beyond this season and he is likely to stay next season. A two-year deal can be offered to the Italian, who has a good relationship with the clubโs owners.
