Daniele Rugani’s agent reveals player is keen on a stay at Juventus

Daniele Rugani’s agent remarked on contract talks with Juventus and about the club’s future following the win against Frosinone.

Speaking in an interview with TV Play via TMW, Daniele Rugani’s agent Davide Torchia expressed his client’s intention to continue with Juventus in the future but claimed that the approach needs to arrive from the club’s side. He said: “The renewal of Rugani? Juve has always shown great positivity towards him. On our part there is total openness to the renewal and an agreement can be found. The question to ask now is: will they call us?”

It was a hard-fought victory for the Bianconeri versus newly promoted Frosinone this past matchday and Daniele Rugani’s header stood as a decisive goal in added time to hand his side three crucial points. Despite sitting in second place, Massimiliano Allegri’s men have little hope of mounting a late title challenge to Inter who are clear at the top of the Serie A table by nine points with a game in hand. In respect to this, Torchia said: “I don’t want to play Allegri’s defender, he doesn’t need it, but it’s not easy to keep the group so solid. Juve play a lot on nerves, the defenders have scored a lot. Rugani, Bremer, Gatti, and Danilo have more than one goal each. I think that Juve is not that much superior to Milan, to Napoli for example. So it is not so obvious that they are still in second place. I hope that this victory can be an important turning point for Juve, in the end, the seasons always revolve around details. For example, Inter, although they are dominating the championship, before meeting Juventus In the direct clash Juve played against Verona and Fiorentina, both of whom missed a decisive penalty in the final minutes against the Nerazzurri.”

The Old Lady have undergone a big rebuilding job without big-name signings since the underwhelming performances of last season. Manager Massimiliano Allegri along with all of the players have been influential in this recovery. It is now time to see whether the club intend to renew some of its established players or make a profit by selling them.
