Inter’s Simone Inzaghi keen on stay despite Chelsea interest

Premier League side Chelsea are interested in Inter boss Simone Inzaghi but the Italian is keen on staying at the Nerazzurri.

FCInterNews have reported about the situation of the Inter boss, whose side are currently at the top of the table and have a clear nine point advantage with a game in hand. It is said that Chelsea are keeping tabs on Inzaghi and are already looking at replacements for Mauricio Pochettino.

At this point though, Inter have nothing to worry about. Inzaghi isn’t leaving the club at this point and he wants to take the current Inter side forward, having forged an excellent dynamic at the club. He understands that there is a margin for improvement and Inter will hold talks over a new deal soon.

Inter will speak to his agent Tullio Tinti in the next few weeks to lay down the foundations for a renewal as they believe that Inzaghi more than deserves an extension. The idea is increase the salary that he currently earns, with his wage at €5.5 million per season right now.
