Details of Milan starlet Chaka Traorè’s move to Palermo

A highly-regarded emerging young Serie A talent in the former of Chaka Traore at Milan has agreed to depart the club for the 2nd half of the season.

That’s according to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, who has confirmed that an agreement has been reached between the respective boards at Milan and Palermo, over a deal for Chaka Traorè.

The move will see attacker Traorè link up with the latter on loan through the summer.

From here, somewhat surprisingly, Palermo will have the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee in the region of €10 million.

Milan have also secured a 15% sell-on clause as part of the deal.

West Bromwich Albion and Lausanne both expressed a keen interest in landing Traorè this month, too, but the player himself ultimately decided that a move to Serie B would best aid his development.

Traorè, a 19-year-old winger, impressed across limited game-time for Milan this season, finding the net in both Serie A, and Coppa Italia.

The Rossoneri’s decision to include a buy option in their accord with Palermo has therefore raised more than a few eyebrows as the transfer deadline approaches.
