Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura could leave this summer

Fiorentina midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura seems close to leaving the club in the summer, with his current deal running out soon.

The Italian was linked with a move to Juventus in January, but La Viola refused to sell him. He is yet to renew his deal with Fiorenitna and La Gazzetta dello Sport state that he is now nearing an exit, as something seems broken in the relationship when it comes to a new deal.

Things, for some days seemed to be going in the right direction. Now, there seems to have been some frost in the situation. The current deal includes the option to extend the stay till the summer of 2025 and that will exist once Bonaventura plays 70 percent of the total matches this season.

The relationship between the player’s entourage and Fiorentina suggests that the stay won’t last long. Reasons are unclear but there is a possibility of Bonaventura having had his head turned by Juventus, but there’s not much certainty about that either. As of now, there are big doubts about the Italian’s future and he could leave in the summer.
