Former Roma boss Jose Mourinho open to Al Shabab move

Recently sacked Jose Mourinho has opened up to the possibility of joining Al Shabab after his Roma exit.

Mourinho’s Roma sacking was made official three days ago and the Giallorossi have already hired Daniele de Rossi as the temporary boss. Mourinho’s future remains up in the air but the manager could be eyeing a move away from Europe.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Mourinho has opened up to the possibility of joining Al Shabab, who are keen on appointing the Portuguese. Dejan Stankovic, who has played under Mourinho and has managed against the former Inter boss during his time at Sampdoria, is also on the shortlist.

It remains to be seen if Mourinho’s entourage and Al Shabab find an agreement but there is willingness on both sides to start a new chapter. If Mourinho is appointed as the new Al Shabab boss, his first game would a friendly against Roma on the 24th of January.

Al Shabab have been linked with a move for Matteo Politano but they have now abandoned that chase and are keeping an eye on Suso.
