Inter defender Francesco Acerbi’s agent denies racial abuse allegations

The agent of Inter defender Francesco Acerbi has stated that the player didn’t racially abuse Napoli’s Juan Jesus during the recent Serie A meeting between the two sides.

Jesus had hinted yesterday that Acerbi had said some not-so-nice things to him and a video from the second-half showed that Jesus had told the referee that the Italian defender had referred to him as the n-word, while pointing to the ‘no racism’ badge on their jersey.

Acerbi’s agent Federico Pastorello has recently spoken to Calciomercato during the TransferRoom Summit in Rome and he stated that no racist words were exchanged. The two players have already spoken and clarified the matter and that things were misreported.

“I believe he responded to Juan Jesus personally , they clarified between themselves. It wasn’t a racist offense , it was reported badly. These things must be controlled and possibly punished where the conditions for doing so are recognized. Acerbi told me that it was a heated argument in which too many words were said, but he didn’t say the word ‘n****'”

Acerbi has already left the Italy training camp and even they state that the player has reconstructed the situation, mentioning that nothing racist of racially offensive was said yesterday. The player has left the camp for his own serenity, which would benefit him and the team, as per the team statement.
